Photos from Udvar-Hazy Center

Hello everyone!

I was really fortunate to visit the Smithsonian Institution’s Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center this last weekend while I was in VA. What a treasure trove it is! So many beautiful, historically significant aircraft! I took many pictures and thought that I’d share them with anyone interested. Here’s the link to my gallery:

Please keep in mind that I’m no professional photographer, I just did the best that I could.

Cheers,

Mike

Thanks for sharing your photos! You guys in Georgia have a nice aviation museum in Macon that we visited a couple of years ago.

Thanks, Mike. Nice group of pictures.

Those are some excellent detail shots, especially the Do-335 and He-219. Thanks for sharing!

Lucky, lucky you! [:P] Thanks for sharing… that looks like a fun trip!

Some great pics. Thanks for sharing.

Regards, Rick

Mike,

Thank you so very much for sharing those pics! Did they make you leave at closing? [:D]

Cheers

Dave

Nice pics, I was there in March and took 927 pictures in one day. Everything there is intersting, and I can’t wait to return!

I’m spoiled. I live about 20 minutes away.

Only 20 minutes away?!? You are spoiled!

The moment I got the keys to the rental car, I was out of the airport on the way to the museum. It’s a strange kind of heaven!

I didn’t know we had a museum in Macon, but I’ll be sure to check it out!

It is called the, “Museum of Aviation” and is located just south of Warner Robins AFB. It is the second largest USAF museum, only behind the NMUSAF in Dayton. Fantastic place.
