Photo hosting experiment

Don’t see it Don. See “Open a Google account”. Using w11 with Google Chrome.

Don,

Can’t see your picture. I don’t see a gray circle or a question mark. I have a Google account and am signed in. Using Firefox on Fedora (Gnu/Linux).

I can see Pawel’s pictures.

My guess is it has nothing to do with the browser. Look at setting for the photo album. Make sure sharing is turned on.

To Don,

I don’t see anything. I’m using iPhone 7 Plus and iPad pro. Gmail and Google account, safari. I can see Pawel’s photos. Have a nice day!

LOL!

The two images are actually posted by me, but no matter. What’s uncertain is why I can easily post images hosted by Google Photots that can de seen, and the images Don posts can not.

As we dont actually know how the image data is found, where and how its ultilised and what settings are set within Google Photos it is difficult to assist.

What I am assuming, is that everybody how posted here since my first post can see the two images I posted, so Google Photos will work.

You do need to put in the URL of the picture. How you get that URL on Flicker I do not know yet. I have always left size blank- the FSM client seems to figure out a good size to display it without me telling it.

At home now, using Firefox and no Google account, can’t see the pic [:(]

I’m afraid that I’m also unable to see your pics Don. I do not use a google accnt. I use Chrome as my browser on Windows 10. I just tried out photoimage.org and just today posted some pics from there for the first time. I hope folks will let me know if they are coming through.

I’m really confused. The experiment seems to be delivering completely uncorrelatable results!

Hello Don!

Well I wouldn’t say that - to me it looks like we have a good consensus here. At first people were able to see your pictures, but then they got unavailable - even to those who were able to see them at first. What’s interesting is the fact, that damouav’s pictures are not only visible but also stable. That would tell me that there’s no general problem with google here, but something specifically with your account or maybe with the link/URL you are using - this seems pretty temporary, I mean at first it’s working fine and then, a bit later - not at all.

I hope you can resolve this one soon - I miss your pictures on these forums! Good luck and have a nice day

Don ;

Hi ! T.B. Here . I get one picture with a menu in the middle .Then directly below a really nice Mossiequito ! I am not going to , Oh hell yes ! How come this Mossie has a stubbier nose ?

Don ;

Now you know why I don’t post pictures ! It’s not that I haven’t figured out how . I actually did after getting an I Phone ! Everything I had , Ship photos and Car photos for Scale Auto have completely disappeared from my account with them ! May they have continued internal problems and go to H%^%^

TB - without pictures forum like this is hardly funny! You’ve got a large minus point with me for not posting pictures!

Beacuse it can!

Settle down. I respect TB’s reasoning for not posting pics - especially after the Photobucket fiasco. No need to react this way.

BlackSheep, TB - don’t worry, I’m easy! It’s just that TB is always writing about all those great models and techniques - not being able to see any of that is right out frustrating! It’s just that thai I meant. Have a nice day!

I cannot see the photo. I am NOT signed into any Google service, but I am using Chrome.

I just tried with explorer, no google login, can’t see it.

You don’t require a Google account of any type to view the images hosted by Google Photos, it just doesn’t work that way. You can use any browser you like and should be able to see the posted images, if you look at my early post, you should see several images posted from GP.

I don’t understand either, but I know several folks cannot see it. I checked yesterday, and my photos are set to public.
