I’m trying to make my own photo eched parts for a 1/72 F-15E ( specificly the instrument panel). I purchaced the Micro-Mark Pro-Etch system for making photo eched parts. They tell you to make your art work for your part on a computer so I took my dads copy of Corel Draw to do the art work. I made/drew the front of the panel. The problem I’m having is that you have to create a mirror image of the part but I can’t figure out how to do this. Is there anyone who knows how to create the artwork to make photo eched parts? No I don’t want to buy aftermarket PE parts. If I can finish the artwork I think the rest will be easy. Can anyone help?..PLEASE!
i use Paint shop pro,but this should be close…
look up at the top and you should see an image tag somewhere,it’ll be in that drop down
if not there look for the effects menu
hope it helps,i’m not familiar with Corel
if you can’t get it done, send me a PM and we’ll get it emailed,i’ll mirror it from here and send it back
One simiple thing I’m sure you must have over looked.
As it’s more comfortable to draw the image as you see it instead of backwards [mirrored], that’s the way to do it of course.
Then use Corel Draw’s menu feature - Help and look up - “Mirror Image” or something along those lines. It’s sure to be an easy process as it is in most programs.
Examples of commands from menus of a few programs -
Photoshop 6:
Image\Rotate Canvas\Flip Horizontal
Paint Shop Pro 6 & version 7:
Image\Mirror
AutoCAD LT 2000:
Modify\Mirror
Good luck!
This is Corel Draw 12, just select the art and hit one of these buttons

Its under the Windows>Dockers>Transformations>Scale
Check Help its under there just search for mirror remember to group your project BEFORE doing This.
Any probls email me.
