I just started back to doing a model I was working on yearly this year. The photo etched parts are so small, first time I’ve used etched parts, heck of a learning curve. Still enjoying putting the model toghter.
Yeah, they are a pain at times even in 1/48 scale. I can’t imagine those guys with the 1/700 ship railings.
I’m going to start keeping simple, old Monogram kits handy after a PE heavy build just to detox and relax.

One thing about PE… Just because it comes in the set, it does not mean you have to use it. PE has its’ limitations, especially when it comes to curvatures. Sometimes a piece of simple wire or plastic is a better option for realism. But have fun incorporating your new found media… It can really help enhance a build!
In my short time building models with PE parts, an Optivisor is a must. It rrrrrrrrreeeaallyy helps! At least for someone with 50 year old eyes (me). PE parts can really enhance a kit.
