photo etch detail

Ok here it is I am new to this site as to photo etching but I have all the info how to get started and what stuff to se now my question is how do you make clean lines to photo etch??

Bamb,

First of all, welcome! There are lots of friendly folks here happy to help you out. I’d give it a shot, but I don’t understand your question. (Of course, it is early and I haven’t had that much coffee yet …)

My question is what is the best method to get clean line so the part comes out clean and sharp??

I have found using some sharp scissors, Tamiya sprue cutters, toenail clippers, or a good pair of wire cutters works great. After gettin it cut out, use a good needle file, or emery board to file the edge smooth. It helps if you put a piece of tape on the back side while cutting to make sure the piece doesn’t end up on the floor or in an eye. I found out using some clear gloss or clear flat,(depending on what you are attaching it to) works great for small pieces being attached to your model.

I am new to this site to and i was wonderin if anybody could tell me a website that i could get some photo etched parts from

This is one of my favorite sites for photo etched and other detailing accessories:
