photo-etch delema

So heres the million dollar ?.How do you get the photo-etch to sit on the plastic without having telltale signs of the crasy-glue clumped all over the place??I have tried several different types of glue and a thousand aplicators and so far nothing seems to work to my satisfaction.Maybe Im just too picky!!![:(][:(][:0]

Lately, I have become a believer in gel CA. I personally use IC-Gel for nearly all my PE. I wear my Optivizer, use needle-nose tweezers to hold the PE, and apply just a dot of CA using a toothpick to the surfaces that need it. The IC-Gel will hold the PE in place in about 10 - 15 seconds, but takes about an hour to really cure. Any little globs that have squeezed out from under the PE are easily scraped away with an x-acto blade once it is either partially or fully cured.

If I end up with a little too much glue residue. I usually just flick it off with the blade of my knife without too much problem.

Thanx boys, keep it comming. The more info I get the better.By the way great tips.[;)]

You could try to use lacquer to hold those parts in place. Apply it with a very fine tipped brush. I’ve had some success with this method and I’ve even been surprised how well the parts stick to the model - of course I’m not playing with the model on the carpet.
Anyway- [2c] Hope this helps.
