I’m building my first kit with aftermarket parts. Question: what is the best glue for photo etch and resin, and what is the best preparation and painting for each. Thanks.

The CA or Cyanoacrylate glue is the best for assembly on both resin and PE. If you look in Radio Control section of your LHS, they have it thin, medium and thick viscosity. The medium or thick works best. You can use mild soap and water to wash the mold release from the resin. Soaking in Westleys Bleach White (the white wall tire cleaner) also works. If you scrub with any kind of brush, be very careful, because it is easy to break the small pieces off.

Two part Epoxy also works very well.
