PhantomFixer, new to Forums

Hi, I was in the USAF in the early '70s and worked on F-4E, F-4D and F-111 aircraft. I was stationed at George AFB, TDY to Takahli AFB and then stationed to RAF Upper Heyford AFB. After 2 years of college, I worked in the aerospace industry as an fuel controls engineering technician for 30+ years.

Hi PhantomFixer! Good to have you here. What do you like to build? Wait, let me guess. F-4s. :grinning:

Welcome to the forum, PF! Are fighter jets your favorite subject to build, too?
I look forward to seeing your work!
Best regards,
Brad

I have built a model of each of the planes I worked on and marked two of them with the tail numbers of the actual aircraft. I worked the F-4Ds as part of a night shift crew, in Thailand, that prepped the planes for the next day’s missions, over Vietnam. So I worked on different planes each night. The F-4D is marked with “HO” for Holloman AFB, that supplied the planes, but the tail number is made up.
Actually, I mainly build armor and sci-fi models.

Very cool!
I build 1/48 aircraft, but also some 1/72 and 1/32. Also, 1/700 ships, focusing on our Navy in WWII. But I also build sci-fi, specifically Maschinen Krieger kits.
I also paint toy soldiers. I cast some, too.

Baron is an epicurean when it comes to his modeling tastes. :grinning:
