Phantom of the Japanese Opera.

Hi Everybody ,This colourfull plane is the Hasegawa 1/72 F-4EJ
“301st Squadron 30th Anniversary” markings from the box.
Only additions are foil seatbelts ,hypodermic needles for pitots and probes ,
and little wires on top of the ejection seats.
Next Hasegawa’s F-4G Wild Weasel in 1/48.[:p]

Thanks for letting me share it with you all.[:)]

Thanks Domi ,glad you like her.

I’ll squeeze in a few more pics later.

Great build [tup]. Those decals must have taken a lot of time to apply. Very nice indeed.

Regards, Rick

A very sleek looking bird, thanks for the pics.

SMOKIN’!

That looks pretty sharp, there, Obi-wan-canopy…

Fade to Black…

Does that mean you can stab people with it? :stuck_out_tongue:

Looks pretty nice, though! Is the sun a decal? (The red lines and stuff… ) Looks like it would be tough to put on…

Incredible! Are you sure you aren’t showing us the photos on the side of the box? [:D] I think it’s time i buried my head in the sand out of shame! Keep up the good work, and post more pics! [tup]

Eng Hui,

Very nice work my friend! I love the colors. [:0] [tup]

Mr. Chew, that is one sweet phantom friend!!![tup][tup][tup] its about time someone spiced up the a/c forum with some finished photos!! very sharp scheme indeed. later.

Thanks ,Rick ,Dave ,Steve-O ,Akuma ,pareng shrikes ,Mike ,FreedomEagle1953 ,AJACKETSFAN ,gunney ,TAG_LK,
fightnjoe and saltydog.

Rick ,the decals took 3 days ,total number of decals were about 125 ,however hasegawa bunched the sencils up together in big pieces.Only the black and white were painted on and the red bit at the tip of the tail fin.

Akuma , the sun is a decal.Tha fuselage decals come in three pieces.
I set aside a whole afternoon to do that properly. No setting solutions were used
Everything Had to be aligned and dried. Then I went back to check for silvering and then only used setting solution.

Pareng shrikes ,I was intimidated by the kit ,I knew the decals would be murder ,It was only after seeing another modeler having one and then offered another chance to buy one did I grit my teeth and get it.This is actually Haswgawa’s second release of this kit in 1/72.The first had an overwelming response.

woodbeck3 ,Allan Quartermain is a modeller too ,remember when he is teaching Tom Sawyer to shoot? He says (Sean Connery accent)“Take your time,Take your time”

joe ,thanks again ,this build took 2 weeks after my exams.

salty ,it was a interesting and different build but its back to camo for me ,old habits die hard.

Thanks again guys ,for all your kind words…here are some new pics and an actual one of the plane.
This the link to the F-4EJ site…http://www.f-4ej.com
