Hi all, was wondering if it is possible to build ( convert ) a F4k to an earlier variant, like say, an F4G[:D] or an aircraft that basically flew during the late 60’s to the mid 70’s[8D]. The subject is on the Hasegawa 1:48 FG1. Was just wondering, and hoping. Thanks in advance! And please excuse the late reply, am still job hunting[V].

the F-4K has the Rolls Royce spey engines and therefore a slightly different shape to the inlet ducts. It would be tough to convert it. Much easier to pick up one of the other Hase kits. The G made it’s first flight in 75, so the Hasegaw G kit might work. Otherwise, the F-E or F-4C/D kit is the way to go. Or the J kit
You can’t get there from here. There is too much difference for an accurate conversion. It is best to start with a C/D or E/G for a USAF aircraft or a B/N or J for Navy.
Aw shucks. . . guess better look for another alternative then. Thanks guys.
