Perth No Longer Listing....

…Cyberhobby / Dragon new releases? (or am I losing my eyesight)

If you click on the PMMS “Editor’s Blog” link at the top of the page, there is a rather vague, cryptic message as to why a major manufacturer is no longer listed on his site.

I do not blame him. That manufacturer’s “read-only” forum has a shrill blogger who constantly nitpicks and attacks his reviews. Especially any review that points out their error or a review that recommends any kit made by Trumpeter.

Don’t you mean that blogger that got banned from these very boards? whatever that trolls name is.

No. Unrelated

I tried looking at Perth’s blog and as soon as it opens it suddenly changes to an image of some buffoon on a google image search hit…

That’s a shame…based on the cryptic nature of the way Terry has posted it sounds like something you typically hear when there might be lawyers involved. I sincerely hope that’s not the case as that usually ends up being messy and time consuming for all parties in the long run.

I speculated the same thing on a thread over on Track-Link. Paul Owen chimed in to say that legal issues were not part of it according to a communique he had from Terry.

Here is the excerpt of the blog:

Good to know Roy. I can certainly understand if Terry chooses not to continue to promote DML products via his news announcements but I hope that he will continue to provide the reviews despite the Hiroshi nonsense.

I wonder why DML does not harness this Hiroshi person as it may in time hurt thier enterprise…unless of course he is highly placed within the organization.

The way the blogs get posted is that they are emailed to the Dragon forum staff members. They in turn post the blogs. So anything that ends up on that forum is placed there by a staff member.

That’s unfortunate-Terry does some of the best and most thorough reviews going. There are always a lot of nice new DML offerings out there too.

I have noticed that they added a disclaimer, but everyone knows he is their shill and does represent their company. The funny part is I don’t think they believe that he is harmful to their business. For a company that makes very good/great models, their understanding on how hurtful he is to their reputation is curious.

This wasn’t there before.

Over on the LEM, has had a thred for over a year and a half on this blogger and just rips everyone of his posts and appearantly righfully so. This guy at DML is a [censored] appearantly.

It’s a shame someone like this could affect Terry.

Rounds Complete!!

Whatever the reason, it looks to be resolved, DML is once again on the new release page.
