THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS THE DIORAMA DEPICTS THE 1ST MARINE DIVISION ON L.V.T.'S HEADING FOR THE BEACH AT PELELIU. I SCRATCH BUILT THE FIRING PLATFORM AND DUCK BOARD. I STILL HAVE TO MAKE THE TWO 50 CALIBER MACHINE GUNNERS AND THE REST OF THE LANDING PARTY. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK?

  1. As mentioned, turn off he caps. In the on line world, that’s sonsidered shouting and is seen as rude. It’s also harder to read.

  2. You can post more than one picture in each post. Having them all togethere makes looking at them easier.

  3. If a picture is way out of focus, like the first one, retake the picture and post a good one up. It’s hard to ceommnet/appreciate something when you can’t make out the details.

  4. Your .50’s need a lot of work. There are seams on both receivers. The handle on the one on the right is way off center and the handle on the other one is broken.

You might want to check your references on the quote in your signature. The earliest citation for that quote in 1968 from Eldridge Cleaver.

More questions than comments…what scale is it?—looks like 72nd to me, based on the water texture… Is the entire base just water or is there a shoreline out of the camera shot? What did you us for water? There are much more realistic ways to replicate water. Your water looks very lumpy, almost like cottage cheese and the colors are too opaque and vibrant. I do applaud the effort to make a wake and a shell explosion in the water…
