I though I iwould share this iwth those that don’t venture to the GB section.
The was built not only for the 109GB run by Daywlker Frank, but also as an entry into aGB my club is running that is for Pegasus snap together kits. We will be doing soem displays in the spirng and wnat to show what can be done without having to spend a lot of cash to built a nice looking model. So with that in mind I present the Pegasus snap together Me 109G-6 in the markings of White 1 flown by Erich Hartmann. Built to IMPS OOB rules so not much can be done to it but the kit overall is really nice and with some detailing can be turned into a beautiful model. as finished, that is a total of 16 parts for the build without the stand. Since I was not “allowed” to make heavy modifications to parts and the LG is the worst of the parts I deciced to go with the wheels up. The tulip would have gone down great except for some poor planning on my part and the point on the side ran into the exhuat. This made for some weird settling. With some black and white touch ups they look ok in the pics but would not stand up to a judges scrutiny.
Comments and criticism always welcome. Thanks for looking.
Nice job there wing nut. The shape of the kit looks pretty good to my eyes. The panel lines look pretty good too. Yours is about the third Pegasus kit I have seen build and they all look pretty good. My local hobby store carries a couple I might have to try one.
You always make it look so easy Marc! I am amazed by what you are able to do with a plastic kit, and the speed at which you do so. Some real eye candy here, great to have another looksie. [bow]
[tup] Looks very nice Wing Nut! So now we have visual proof of what can be done with these very affordable new kits! Obviously they are worth buying and building. Thank you for sharing your work on this kit.
Definately an amazing build! And to my eye, I see no flaw!
I know that it was the subject of a couple of group builds. But I thought it was really unique for someone with your high level of experience and expertise to build a snap together. One of those things that would motivate and inspire the very beginner level of modeller! Very well done![8D]
