I just started a Jagdpanzer IV and was look over web pics for some color schemes and came across this photo. Photo is being used for discussion purposes only.

What is it with you guys who insist on building these teeny tiny models. My eyes hurt from squinting (while wearing magnifiers) to try to see the amount of detail that you insist on adding to these frigging tiny models.

Bill the short guys are 18’ and the tall one is 48’. Never thought to check that. Maybe the big guy a a bot too big.

Really great work again! Do you have any history on the photo you based this on?
I’ve seen some spruce and pine trees taller than 50’, so I’m not sure it is really an issue… although it is a pretty damn tall tree!! [8-|]
I’m gonna have to ditto this one. For starters, the model is amazing. I, too, love working in 1/144 scale. But the subject of the photo just begs me to ponder the history of the photo.

Sorry but no history on the photo. If you take off some of the URL from the end you find the website but all it says is ground turrets.
Hmmm, those are some cool pics Marc. I wonder, would they have intended this as some sort of bunker? I’ve never heard of digging in almost an entire Stug, or Hetzer before (as shown in the photos). How practical would that be, considering there isn’t a wide field of fire given that there is no turret to traverse?
Either way, very interesting subject and a really cool build on your part! I think this would be cool in 1/35 as well and (obviously) easier to see!

I like the vegetation a lot. And if you do a collection, smaller scale is a good thing. I personally prefer 1:72 scale, but that’s just me…
I think what happened was - either the tank was dug in and then abandoned, or it was damaged, and then emplaced as a pillbox on steroids. Anyhow a candy for everybody liking “the different”. Keep ‘em peanut butter panzers comin’, have a nice day
