Peak C-5 Gravity Feed

Hi all! [:)]
Have you ever heard of this one???
It’s on sale at Bearair 89$+free 10’ braided airhose instead of 239$ (without airhose).
No data what so ever around only the following:
Gravity Feed
0.3mm nozzle
Preset Handle
Teflon needle seal
Looks like it got what it takes BUT(!) where did it land from???
Another one from the coindestries of Iwata, hand piece, tamiya etc.?
Go there and check it out it looks like a Iwata hi performance.

its made in the same factory as iwata, so i would think its like a hp-c delux. it even looks like one! probubly is

So why not buying it???
if it’s just as good why keep paying the big bucks over brand names?

It’s not uncommon for companies to make products and put someone else’s name on them. If they are the same, there is nothing wrong with buying them.

One of the issues with that practice is that if a company builds a product and puts someone else’s name on it, then the “Someone Else” is responsible for warranty and service. If you buy a Tamiya or Peak airbrush and have to get it serviced, you don’t send it to Iwata you send it to Tamiya or Peak or whoever. Service is a big part of the price of any product.

Sometimes, manufacturers will “Brand” factory seconds with someone else’s name. I’m not saying this is the case here, just that it sometimes happens. The finish might not be up to usual standards or they might not be as mechanically tight and smooth. It’s more efficient for a company to put another name on them and sell them at a lower price than it is to just toss them out or rebuild them.

I have a Peak C-5. It is a very good airbrush and is almost identicle to the Iwata HP-C. The only difference I can see between my Iwata HP-C and the Peak C-5 is that the Peak has a preset handle. All of the internal parts look to be the same and they do interchange between the two airbrushes. They are made in the same factory. The Peak sprays just as good as the HP-C and would be a fine brush for models and other things. If you have questions call BearAir, I did before I bought mine and I have to say they weren’t pushing me to buy one like saying ‘this is the best airbrush around.’
