I made a jig and bend my own buckles outta fine wire, but I’ve also robbed the ProModeler B-17 and B-24 kits of their’s as well, since there’s no real way to see the hardware in those models after assembly… After I bend the wire into shape, I can flatten it in a vise… I’ll see if I can get a pic posted of the jig I made…
Also, rather than lead foil, I use aluminum duct tape, available at about any harware store… Having the sticky side of foil really goes a long way in securing the harnesses to the seats…
Sprue Brothers also carry the Eduard line of belts and are also very fast in shipping. They also have real time inventory.

Ive seen the thin wire trick in the book I have. I like the look of the photoetch buckles better. Not to say id never try it with wire though.
Sprue bros was all sold out of allied sets.
Is there a set that has just buckles and no straps or would I have to cut the straps off of all sets in order to get just the buckles?
Is there anything bad about the sets I posted from ebay?
you wont want to cut the straps off because they look awsome. a bit of a pain to put together but well worth it.
