Who has the best photo etch for Tamiya’s swordfish? I found a couple but they look pretty basic, engine parts and brace wire but not much for the cockpit. Anyone know?
Just wanted to put this at the top one more time. Anyone?
I’ve got the same question. My wonderful wife of 23 years surprised me with this kit as a birthday gift and I also want to get some PE parts to spruce it up.

I have still got my Swordfish in the to do stash, but I have been on the lookout for PE sets. I have found two, from Tamiya and Eduard. I found the Tamiya to be rather plain and only includes the rigging, The Eduard set has rigging, cockpit, and engine details. Might be a bit more expensive, but quality and quantity will make me go for the Eduard set.
The Eduard set is the way to go. It has most everything you’ll need to make an already superb kit that much more of a standout. [:D]
My wife gave me this kit for Christmas last year. It was a kit I’ve always wanted, but had been reluctant to buy for myself. It was a very enjoyable build.
I used the Tamiya rigging PE set, and it came out very nice. I did find that the Tamiya rigging is easier to install by only using the mounting tab at the top end of the wire- I cut the tab off of the bottom end. The problem was that if you use the tabs on both ends, the slots for the rigging have to be exactly the right distance- any variation, no matter how slight, will result in the rigging not fitting right.
