What sort of adhesive can one use on the plastic? Is CA ok or will that damage/cloud the part?
A little CA should work ok.
Not quite sure what you mean. Do you mean how do you attach the clear acetate dials to the PE part? If so the easiest way is to use Future. This also gives the faces a shiney look like glass. Another tip is to paint the backside of the acetate white. This makes the detail really pop out.

Which FW190 kit?
I am working on the Hasagawa A-5 and the PE set from Eduard is far superior.
I am using Krystal Klear to attach the PE and so, far no problems.

If your using white glue (Kristal clear etc) After painting the back of the acetate part white. Put a smear of KK on the front. Litterally a smear,as you dont want the stuff glooping out of the bezels, and then press it in place. Make sure you can see at least 2 bexels to ensure they line up correctly. After it has dried you can place a small blob in each bezel with a coctail stick or similar. This will make them look like they have lenses in.
