I purchased a .33 super detail conversion for my 105 Patriot and the needle dose not seem to fit the brush. The .50 fine fits perfectly with just a little resistance pushing it bast the needle barring the .33 stops at the barring and required force to seat fully and jammed refusing to move when the trigger was pulled back. I thought the needle might have been bent from the factory contacted Amazon who sent me another complete conversion kit that needle did the exact thing. I swapped in the .33 set up correctly replacing tip and spray regulator, starting to think it’s a problem with the brush it’s self iv had it less than 2 months and take care of it like it’s a baby. Any of u guys have a issues changing your 105s to the .33 set up
I’ve seen variation in drag with Badger needles. It doesn’t take much change in needle diameter to make a lot of difference. And unfortunately, Badger needle bearings are not adjustable. Well, they are in a way. Here is a video with one method. I’ve also reamed them with a #55 drill bit, and you can squeeze them from the ends to tighten them. You can also reduce the diameter of the section of the needle that passes through the bearing with some very fine wet or dry paper. But, you shouldn’t have to. I would contact Badger either by phone or e-mail and see what they say. Maybe they got a bad batch of needles.
