Well, what a fun morning it was this morning. I woke up, went to walk out of my bedroom and then heard an odd noise behind me. I turned just in time to see my chest of drawers tip over. Now, this would have been ok, if it wasnt for A) the televison on top of them, or B) the just finished and ready for weathering Pather G that was sitting directly in the line of fire.

So, i watched in slow motion as my television impacted my nice, innocent tank. The tank ended up flying off the desk, hitting a chair and finally, impacting upon the floor. I was horrified! All i could think of was, ‘how many pieces wil this be in’.

Surprisingly though, it only lost one set of side skirts, a gun cleaning utility case, a bent antenna and a slightly bruised Commander. Phew! [:)] (And thank gosh for the angled armour!)

[#ditto]. It sound like you can actually salvage it. thats good. When that happened to mine it exploded.

i guess it was a ‘glancing blow’ and not a direct hit!
congrats on your ‘good luck’ (if you ignore the incident happening!)

hopefully, the repair will be straight forward.

Sounds to me like there was a “Firefly” nearby.

Similiar thing happened to me. I think that’s where the expression “Pick up the pieces and move on” comes from. It’s easier said than done.

What caliber/muzzle velocity was the teley? Apparently not enough for penetration, even at close range.

Did you check if Shermanfreak was behind the dresser?

lol, sorry to hear about that. But don’t worry about it. I had a much worse weekend. There was an issue I won’t talk about, and ultimately, my Trumpeter 50-ton tank transporter was reduced to parts. Almost everything fell off. It was completely destroyed. At least now I have $100 (Canadian) dollars worth of stuff to add to my spare parts box.

Sounds like you pretty much had protypical damage to me. Maybe we could all try that to help in weathering our tanks!! lol

Still haven’t heard what happend to the tv though!

got a box full of these types of incidents. occupys a corner of my garage!! “things to be fixed at a later date”. got to get into that newest kit first. my condolences mate. semper fi, mike

cmon you cant sell out TV like that, it brings so much enjoyment, it is ok? the models salvagable pray the tvs ok

When bad things happen to good models. It happens to us all. Time takes its toll on all models. It just sounds like, in your case, time didn’t take its time this time. [:(]

Now lets take a vote. How many of us have never had something like this happen to us? (Has to be a shorter list than those that have).

Personally, I think it is those flyboys with their rocket bearing Typhoons 's that blasted the TV onto that poor kitty. Then again, as you are a fellow Aussie, maybe you should lay off watching ‘Big Bother’ and ‘Neighbores’ for a while.

At least it sounds like it can be fixed without too much hassle BT.

It must have had some sort of experimental armour on it. Glad you could salvage it.
