One of my favorite “hybrid” vehicles, looks like things are really coming together for it, I’m assuming you’re going for a DAK scheme? [B]
WBILL - Funny this is also one of my favorite “hybrid” vehicles. DAK scheme is correct but did not want an all sand color vehicle. Have seen many pictures were the sand color was hastily applied, over the original color PZ Gray, to the upper sections and thought would give that a try. The only thing I did not know how to do and did not try because of the small size of this guy, is try to replicate the texture and smudging of the sand color. If I understand correctly, they would wip the vehicle down with oil / grease and throw actual sand on and let bake on in the sun. I elected to go with as if it had a quick spray of paint which happened also.
Looking freaking awesome! [Y] Am afraid to ask you how many parts did you have to assemble just for the gun itself. It looks pretty good and I love the details on the gun…
ANDY - Thank you my friend, good to hear you like it. I think I used 56 parts for just the gun! It was a small challege when you stick a fat finger in with those tiny parts.
She is almost done, all parts are on and now comes the final weathering and maybe some gear / stowage will be added on. Just not sure what I will put on for stowage?

I’m a huge fan of these early war German machines and having built the Dragon Panzer I Ausf. A & B I know how small they are! Some of my 1/48 builds are much bigger!
I definately think I’m going to have to tackle this kit at some point - you’ve really done a perfect job and I would be careful on the weathering, don’t go over the top as it looks almost spot on as it it. Additional stowage would look great though and the headlights look perfect.
Can’t wait to see more buddy!

BEN - Thanks for all of those kind words. Yes, you should try this one ou it was a great build. I highly recommend it. It does have a lot of small sometimes fustrating parts but it all goes togther very well.
I have added only a bit more streaks for weathering, not much and a few highlights besides that the weathering is done. Now I am just working on the gear. Oh, the lights are lenses by MV Products. They make things much easier when dealing with lights.
TERRY - Thanks and I am really glad you like it. I’ll tell you, it feels as if I was as busy as a bee with this gear today.

As all can see there are still spots to touch up. Will also add some rifles in the gear pile then finally weather the gear, mainly the flag.

I’m pleased to see you had the plums to paint a Swastika! I wussed out and have one on order for my StuG but I really should have at least tried painting it,
Saying that - it’s going to be spread across the rear deck for Aerial recognition so it’s going to be very ‘visible’!
I’m definately going to have to build this tank and paint it in desert colours - I really am loving it!

Was not sure with the ID banner but thought would try it, still have to shade it [:S] will see how that goes. That satchel, had it forever from an old kit. Had never found a home for it, thought it would be a little different so there it is.
QUESTION for anyone. I have been looking at different pictures and some show an antenna mounted on the left side at the rear of the gun shield and some do not (or at least I did not see one). For these vehicles did they commenly have the antenna, was it more standard with or without the antenna? Should I have added one?

Nice work on the added gear! [Y] To answer your question, the antenna was necessary for the receiver to work properly but was designed to be removed/stowed when not needed…so you have latitude either way. HTH!
WBILL- Thank you much for the answer, antenna mount and wiring has been added. I thought the antenna on the right side of the vehicle was for the primary radio. Why would there be two?
Calling this one done. Lots of pictures, was trying different things with the light. Still have problems getting good pictures[bnghead] So here we go:
Plan on adding a little engine gray to the wire rope on the front, not real happy with the color the more I look at it.

Sure is a beautiful build Rob ! Lots of detail that you crammed into that small space and it really makes the model interesting to look at . Your paint is slightly off the norm and i really like that about it . Just enough weathering .[Y][B][B][B]
Very nice work on this one, the two-tone effect creates a very appealing visual contrast IMHO. [Y]
As to the question on the hull mounted antenna, that’s a by-product of the base Pz I chassis used for the Panzerjagers. In order for the gun crew to stay in communication with their fellow vehicles in their unit, the receiver mounted on the inside of thegun-shield was added and the corresponding intercom and antenna wiring to go with it. I’m not 100% sure if the PzJgr I retained the original receiver inside the hull for the driver to use or not…that’s something I’d have to go back and look into before I would swear by it vs. off the top of my head.
