So for all those not involved with the Operation Citadel, Kursk build, here is my entry:
a 1:72 Revell Panzer III Ausf. L representing one from the Ghost Division, (Panzer Div 11).
This unit was invovled on the southern front (Voronezh) in the 4th Panzer army with the XLVIII Panzer Corps fighting along side the 3rd Panzer Div and Grossdeutchland Div.
This is only my second Tank build, I normally build wingy thingys but armour has been growing on me lately, let me know what you think.
I posted this comment in the other thread, but I think it bears repeating here. I’m just blown away by the fact that this is 1/72. Usually you can tell because of a little less detail - you know, smaller tank and all. But it’s really hard to tell with this one. Looks like 1/35 with the camera farther away. Quite possibly the best 1/72 build I’ve seen an a long time.
As a big fan of small armor, I give it [tup][tup][tup][tup]! A really nice build; good paint and subtle weathering; nice tools and detail painting, and nice markings on the rear!
