I haven’t posted much progress on my panther in a while . So heres a rundown of what I have done since my last . I put tools racks on the outer hull , screens etc . I have been waiting for some more details for the fighting compartment inside . Suppliers can be rather slow sometimes as we all know. I have done a bit of paint on that so far . The gunner is also being fitted to his post , the loader I am not sure of as of now . I plan on lighting up the insides with grain of wheat bulbs , also a panel or 2 will be cut so viewing will be available for all this work . There are many parts that have not been permanently attached so if some look crooked , they have not been glued as of now

Dave
Going all out Shawn. It’s gonna be a winner as usual when finished.
Spector its looking good you have put a lot of work into it.Can’t wait to see it finished.Digger
Wow… that’s amazing. awesome job. [bow]
Looks great, a brilliant job on the interior and getting the figures to fit
There are a couple of things I’ve noticed that would need changing (you don’t have to if you don’t want to)
The engine has the wrong air filters on it, it should have the square type, not the round ones (and the square ones were white in colour)
And the command antenna from the Tamiya kit isn’t very good, the antenna should be protected not on top

Now you don’t have to do any of this and i haven’t got any of my Panther books out trying to find mistakes, I just noticed them and thought you might want to know before its too late to fix them
Captain: Thanks for noticing the command antenae detail , I forgot I also had that picture of that tank . Perhaps if I cut it down a bit and add some plastic or brass tube ? The aircleaners I am aware of and intend to get to that as soon as I complete the front areas ,( that is tigerII engine). Man this is a lot of work to pull off ! I have almost 5 or 6 different kits to deal with here , not including figures ! There are also various details such as control arms for the driver that cannot be placed until he has been painted and seated for good . One question you may or may not know the answer to ,… did all men in the tank wear headphones and /or the neck mics or just some of them ? Last night I painted and installed some of the crews smaller survival gear ( canteens , gas masks ,etc ) as well as some of the smaller arms ammo racks ,boxes .
Glad to see this one progressing, it’s a massive undertaking for sure but will pay off in the end. Keep it up and keep us posted on your progress. [tup]
i would have thought that all the crew wore the headphones and throat mics
WOW! Fantastic job. You MUST be the detail king!!
This Panther is coming along so beautifully Spector. You’ve certainly put your heart and soul into it and it shows. Semper Fi, mike
