I am in the midst of only my second tank model…ever. I also am applying the Eduard PE set. It is the RoG 1/72 Panther A/D. I have decided on the A model.
I would like to do an SS vehicle during the Battle for Normandy. I have some unit insignia and was wonder where on the hull they would be applied. In addition of all the units I have performed an interney search on I can find no color photos. What would be the correct patterns/colors for urret numbers?

The 12th SS Panzer Division (Hitler Jugend) fought at Normandy.From what I’ve read, the vehicles had red numbers outlined in white.In a lot of cases,the numbers were crudely or even sloppily applied.It was typical for a Divisional insignia to be applied on the upper right,front of the hull.
