I just installed my first turned aluminum gun tube in my DLM Panther A. I can’t be more pleased. I couldn’t believe that there were at least 6 PE pieces involved in the construction of the muzzle end piece! One thing that was a challenge was fitting the “round pin” at the base of the tube into the rectangular opening in the mantlet of the kit. A drill bit and a little study/patience was all it took.
For those of you who have never tried this AM feature, I would highly recommend it, the realism and scale effect are dramatic. Now I’m hard at it assembling my Fruil tracks.[:p]

I used the Eduard barrel on my Panther and I loved it… Drop fit…
Jordi rubio makes great barrels too , but those nasty lead muzzlebreaks suck !, They should go resin and it would be a great improvement , if not cut the break into the piece like eduard ,haven’t tried aber barrels yet but how could you go wrong there , they are the true kings of PE detail !

That Aber tube has a turned brass muzzle break with six or seven subassembly pieces, talk about detail! Once assembled it slips right over the reduced O.D. at the end of tube. I’ve got an early D on the bench for my next project and I just got off the great models web sight - guess what I ordered!
