Thanks for sharing your pics! A good book to really allow you to try some new techniques is Kalmbach’s “Modelling Realistic Tanks and Artillery” I find that it’s a great general book about advanced armor building.

Cheers guys
I’ll keep an eye out for the magazine , that will come in handy

Looks good. three things though. The anntena is too thick, the exaust should be a rusty color and the tracks have to much sag between the drive wheel and the first bogie. A good techneque for doing the exaust is: brush paint them a rust color. while the paint is still wet sprinkle baking soda on them. After the paint has dried prour a rusty-brown pastel powder on them and blow off the exese. I use streached sprue for my antennas

I like the faded look! Quite realistic.
I believe Fletcher has made some good points.

All in all, though, a great job from a Phantom guy!

Cheers guys
I was having problems with the Tracks I’ll take out another link that should dothe trick
the Ariel is a bit of phone wire , thats no prob i’ll change that
and thanks for the tip on the exhaust
I just painted it gunmetal as yet i haven’t got round to that
butthanks for the painting tip , i think i have some baking soda
i’m going to give that a whirl [;)]
With the tracks the dont seem to fit properly , i’m going to spend some time on those ,
anyway cheers guys for all your help

Try heating a piece of the parts tree with a candle until it softens. Then remove it from the heat and pull it and strech it while it is still soft. Hold it until it cools. Find the correct thinkness and cut it off. Trim it to thr correct lenght and you have an antenna. Greg

Nice progress. I like the effect of the painting also. Thanks for the picures.

Cheers guys
I’ve nearly done on this I’ll put on the ariel last
