What is a good after market barrel for a Tamiya Panther A. I already have a Jordi Rubio Barrel, but I really don’t like the looks of it. Can any of you guys give some good feed back on this.

You might try Eduard. I’m pretty sure that the Panther A’s gun is the same as the G. I just got my Eduard one piece and it is nice.

Hey Mark … I was just snooping through the Barrel Store’s site and I see that they have Hot Barrels from CMK on sale for an excellent price. You may want to check them out. Remember the prices listed are in Canadian dollars.
Here’s the link to the specials http://www.bentbutnotbroken.com/Specials.htm
Thanks for the information Tigerman and Robert. I will do some checking around.

Panthers D, A, and G all used the same main gun. Prototype Panther IIs (F) also did but the plan was to up-gun to the 88mm or use a 75mm with a longer barrel. To my knowledge all Panthers in combat used the same 75mm gun.
the Eduard Panther A gun is different to the Panther G at the end where it fits to the Mantle but it made for the Dragon kit
I should have mentioned that I bought a Panther G barrel, I didn’t know they made one for the A. Still I would recommend their one-piece barrel.

Armo of Poland make 4 types of barrels for the different Panther marks: One for Dragon, two for Italeri and one for Tamiya as the mantlet fittings are different on each kit as you can see if you go to:

The barrels are the 5th pic down onwards.
I have several Armo barrels that I bought from an Aussie supplier and like them because usually they do not have separate muzzle brakes, particularly as the separate ones are often white metal or resin and require cleanup or such. I think the quality is equal to Jordio or Eduard, but others may not agree. The range is not that extensive at present but have suited me so far, and the price here in Australia is far less than that of ordering any of the others.
