If my panel lines get a little obscured by primer, camo, future, etc… do I need to thin the mix out a little? I have a primer coat on and then a metallic coat and already you can tell some finer details are going to be gone if I keep it up with the at least four coats that I have to go. Anyone ever scribed after priming to re-highlight these lines?
I wouldn’t try scribing into any surface that has any kind of finish on it. The result will be didsaster. If you are obscuring panel lines, you need to take a look at how many coats of whatever you are spraying. Something doesn’t sound right here.
What kind of kit is it? seems the panel detail may not have been to deep to start with but I have rescribed after the first paint coat wih no problems.
You are maybe applying very thick coats. You could try thinning your paint some more. Another possibility is you have too much pressure on your airbrush, try dialing it down (if you have a regulator),
