I’be been plugging away at this kit for a long time And finally getting to the decals. Revell kit, of course. Decals printed by a fellow in the UK. Sorry but I have forgotten his name. I’ll update as progress is made.

She is Clipper Pride of the Fleet. I’ll knock out the other side tomorrow night Then finish the wings, mount the engines and landing gear and she’ll be done. Then i have to find a place big enough to display her. Last pic wasn’t finished yet on the port side, now it’s done.

Would the decal maker be Rich W or 26 Decals? The A380 looks nice in those markings. Is that a soon to be Continental B747 behind it?
Nope, wasn’t Rich. I wish they were 26. I’m having to cut these out.
The 747 was to be Caledonian but I messed up the decals. It’s getting a repainted to become a Northwest Airlines. Found decals for the scheme I rode home on after a Desert Storm.
the lines are recessed. Of course, paint and primer just about made them disappear.
Okay, right side done. I also added the stripes on the wings.
Here’s some engine pics. These were actually finished a while back, just setting in a box waiting to be mounted. Couple with stuff to get an idea of scale. I would love to get an hour to walk around an A380 for some pictures! I understand aerodynamics, but it’s still amazing something so big can fly. Chris
I like that scale. The 747 engines are tiny for my build and my big hands old eyes even with a lit mag glass
She has some shoes now and the wings are striped, now to attach the wings, engines and a few small bits and pieces and she’ll be done.

I just got the 787 revell kit looks real good I like the 1/144 scale. I need to get the A380 kit in my stash the looks great

Never flew in a Pan Am flight but I was actually sorry to see it go. Your build makes for great nostalgia and what if.
Yep, same scale. Isn’t that crazy?! The A380 is a marvel of technology and size. I’d love to get a walk-around of one some day.

What I find amazing is seeing an F-4 or an F-15 parked next to a DC-3. It really shows how big today’s fighters are compared to WW2 birds.
