Anybody have any bright ideas on how to model PALS webbing? I have a 12"/1’ scale RAID pack (a new-school modular assault pack from Lightfighter Tactical) and I’d like to make a 1/35 version. I don’t have a good grasp on how to replicate 1" PALS webbing . . . styrene strips? Epoxy putty? Paper? I’d like to use my model as a master for resin copies, so it needs to be pretty durable.
Hey man, good to see you here. I make slings, PALS webbing, and other items like that out of heavy lead foil. It will take a nice natural shape and it’s cheap. Most well stocked hobby stores should carry it. I’d like to see your scale RAID when you finish it.

LOL!
I shoulda known I’d bump into you here! Lead foil’s a good idea . . . could probably emboss it from the rear to represent bartacking. Think I have some in the parts box, if not I’ll buy a nice bottle of wine.
It’ll be a lot easier to build now that I have the real item on hand for reference.
