I was in Cali to greet my son on his return from combat in Afghanistan and I found the Palm Springs Air Museum. It was a pretty nice museum of WWII birds. They have the whole line of Grumman Cats as well as an Avenger, A/B- 26, a Jug, a Mustang, a Spit XIV and a B-17G among others. Worth an afternoon if you are in that neighborhood.

There is also an extensive library upstairs for research.

Glad your son made it home safe. I was at the museum in "06. It is neat. I put pictures up at that time.

That is a great collection of aircraft! If you want to keep ol Rick happy, stick him in a roomful of WWII aircraft. Thanks for the info and nice pictures. Rick
