Hey, I have read some articles about painting and in the pictures the canopy is attached and in the down position, yet when I see a picture of the finished product the canopy is either off or in the raised position. How do they do this?
The canopy is temporarily attatched with white glue to act as a mask for the CP.

I know this is probably obvious, but just make sure you have the canopy and all other loose, temporarily attached parts securely fixed, because if you are airbrushing, even at a really low psi, the canopy can go shooting off, and this is realy not fun when there are scratches involved from your cleanly cut clear plastic piece smashing into the floor!! Anyways, it’s easier to take off the canopy if it’s a little too tightly fixed to the plane than it is to try and fix sometimes ireversable done to a scratched canopy.
