Painting windows

For something different I bought a couple of Zvezda 1/200th scale aircraft. These are a good scale as i am running out of display space. The fuselage is a solid piece with the windows molded into it. Does anyone have any ideas what color I could use to paint the windows to make them stand out a little. i thought white but that makes them stand out to much.

I’ve seen people use medium blue, black, or silver. Hard to say what looks right.

Maybe a sort of gray, like you see on one-way car windows? The kind you can see out of, but no one can see in?

In the real world, windows on an interior space look very dark because the interior is not nearly as bright as stuff illuminated directly with sunlight. So a gloss black or a gloss very dark gray looks fine. The gloss allows some slight reflection of highlights from the environment. Now, a hatch in the top may look different. A horixontal surface strongly reflects the sky, which is actually quite bright, brighter than a blue panel lying on the ground. So a horixontal glass hatch could be painted gloss blue and look okay.

Tried a medium blue/gray which looks ok. Will post a photo when i get around to taking some. Thanks Guys

Here’s another idea :

I use a lot of Testors Graphite with clear mixed in . It makes it glossier . Now besides that, I do the same, only with some medium blue mixed in to give a blue tinge . I have also used Testors Dark Navy Sea Blue and gloss coated it too .
