Painting Question

I am currently working on a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1, I have oainted it with Testors Transparent Candy Apple Red. I had a great looking gloss coat on the model but I noticed some thin spots so I painted another coat on the model and now I do not have a smooth, glossy looking finish. I even notice some run spots on the body as weel.

I need some suggestion on what I can do?

Thanks in advance,

TIM

Tim,

Man that is no fun. I am sorry to say there is only 1 thing to do and that is sand it down. I have heard people trying to sand the runs but IMHO that will ruin the color esp. candy. Did you put a silver base coat then apply candy or just use a candy color? You need to sand to a smooth surface then respray. Be carefull if you get too many coats as it will cover body details.

Good Luck

Mike
