Hey out there! I have a question. I have just bought recently Hasegawa’s ME-262A1 “GALLAND” and ME-262 NACHTJAGER kits and I was wondering if anyone can supply me with good advice or techniques on how to paint those complicated camo schemes. Oh and there in 1/72 scale which makes it harder. Thanks in advance for the help.[:(!

I freehand the camo schemes, I’ve never had much luck with the “soft” masks. To freehand, the paint needs to be thin, and applied with low pressure (I use 5-7 psi) and minimum paint volume, sprayed very close to the model’s surface. The only way to do this is with practice. Keep experimenting on a kit that you won’t build until you can paint fine lines without the paint spitting or running. Different paints/ thinners/ airbrushes/ compressors/ regulators and painting “styles” prevents giving a definative answer. There is no alternative but practice, practice, practice.
