Painting Armour Interiors

I’ve just started installing juagars 1/35 scale T-34 interior…does one paint the individual parts before assembly or assemble the whole thing and then airbrush it? better yet any guidance from the forum.

thanks in advance,
bw

I don’t paint a lot of interiors, but many of the most impressive I’ve seen were built first and painted in place. Some of the other folks in this forum are better qualified to give more detailed answers and they’ll be along soon.

Allthough the Stuart I just did not have all that much detail, I found it was easier to paint the individual parts before assembly due to the tight angles that some of the painting would have been. I think there was some of it that just would have been very hard to get to with a brush.

With any of the interiors that I have done, you need to stage build to a degree. Get as much into the interior that you can paint all in one sweep. Certain details and assemblies will need to be painted separately.

Thanks guys…until my next question arrises

What color is a Bradley interior? Is it white or a sort of “mint green”?

Martian - Here’s some pics of the interior - http://www.armorama.com/modules.php?set_albumName=albup49&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php&PHPSESSID=e63513a3d6c09698c0cb93dacf480198

Thanks! It’s still a tough call. The wire mesh parts look grey. It’s a shame really becaue my dad just retired about 3 yrs ago from the army and he can’t remember for sure!LOL It just wasn’t a priority to him at the time to note the colors but he wants ME to build it! LOL
