Paint suggestions for the Revell 1/48 us navy swift patrol boat.

Just won this baby on E BAY. Can anyone suggest the right color gray using Tamiya paint? I feel comfortable with Tamiya paint. I am considering XF 25 light sea gray, xf 54 dark sea gray, XF 66 Light gray. Any suggestion appreciated.

Going off these images I would say opt for a darker of the grays you listed.

The instructions which accompany the Masterpiece in Miniature 1:96 scale PCF indicate that west coast training units were painted in Haze Gray over a red anti-fouling bottom. Not stated, but the deck would be a dark gray - MM Gunship is good for that. MM Neutral Gray matches the spec for post-war haze gray except it is flat vs satin finish

It states that combat units were in dark jungle green over red anti-fouling.

Stiks photos look more to be jungle green

Wow amazing pictures thanks guys for the suggestions. I think I will go with the MM gunship . The Tamiya equivalent I will go with is XF 24 Dark Gray. What do you all think? Thanks again.

I would love to chime in here if I may . Mine are RED , WHITE and BLUE ! YUP that,s right . You are not seeing any typos .The reason they are is I had three extra ones and I built them as oilfield crew boats . The hull and cabins were WHITE , the ROOFS were blue and the waterlines were black with bright flat red under that . I at one time had over a dozen of those little scudders . I saw a going out of business sale at a hobby shop in CALIFORNIA and I bought five FULL boxes of ship and boat models . the “SWIFTS” made up the bulk of one box! One was lengthened to be a sixty five seat boat used as a ferry in HONG KONG !! tankerbuilder

Tamiya also has Haze Grey in a rattle can (TS 32).
