Paint Mixture

I probably knew this but my short term memory has gone somewhere. Working on a SNJ-5 Texan and I have just primed it with some Model Master enamel primer. I think my Tamiya acrylic yellow will look better than the enamel main coat. OK now, can I use the acrylic over the enamel or is it the other way around? After that of course I will use Future and then be free to use whatever one I choose. Old age is a bummer. Thanks for any help. [4:-)]

If the base coat is thoroughly dry, enamels should go on over acrylics and vice versa. Don’t however apply laquers over enamels.

Your very Safe spaying Enamel over Acylics. However If you spay Acylics over Enamel ,I would wait a least 24hrs before spraying over the enamel and in doing so use light coats only.
I havnt had any problems either way,but its better to be safe.

LACOR over Enamel is a NO<NO unless the enamel is VERY cured.

Ok Gentelmen, thanks…I think me gonna use the enamel. The color is not so much of a difference to take the chance. Want to start getting stuff yellow tomorrow. Again, thank you and take care. [4:-)]
