paint match for titanium gold

does anyone have a mix to apprroximate tamiya “titanium gold” ? I’ ve never seen it except on the website. is it gold/silver, or gold /metallic gray. i only need it for 1 part on the 1/48 Jug (as far as i can tell, i have’nt seen it used in later steps)

What part of the aircraft is painted that color? If we know the part maybe we can tell you what we used.

i’m new to all this so i dont’ know the technical term, but it is the two tubular intake type thingys on the bottom portion of the motor/ wood bladed spinnin’ whatchamacallit [(-D]
I also have a eduard pe set ordered and that might have a part for that area.

killercurt;
sounds like your discribing it the intake duct to the Turbo-supercharger, or the Engine Oil Coolers, if the intake it is Zinc Chromate Yellow{ZCY} (Testors 1/4 oz Enamal, 1/2 oz MM Acryl), if Oil Cooler it’s sides are ZCY with the faces Jet Exhaust (Testors both MM Acryl & Enamal)

ok. the span between these cylinders is zcy (tamiya calls it “yellow-green” ? ), i have that painted. the tubes have molded “grates” in the front. does this help clarify?

It could be some chrome part that has been decolored by heating ?
Anyway, the color that Tamiya refers to as Titanium Cold X-34 or 31 (since only 2 or 3 years) used to be a mix of 1 part X-11 (silver) and 1 part X-12 (Gold).

perfect, thanks

Kirt,

I just painted that part myself, I used MM burnt iron, then dry brushed a little silver.
