Hi guys, I want to do some paint chipping on my Sturmgeschutz IV but am not sure where the paint would chip, would it be almost all edges?

edges would be chipped, plus chipping around hatches and grab handles, plus the sides could chip if the tank brushed up against something (wall, tree limbs, etc).

Before you ruin your work, do some research beyond asking for opinions. There’s a cult of modelers who live to chip paint without ever looking to see if this if genuinely realistic. NEVER use a model as a reference, go to original photographs first taken during the war, then go to references such as the Squadron books. Never use pictures of tanks or other vehicles that have been taken at museums of storage facilities as period wear examples. These have been sitting exposed for many more years than the vehicle served when new.
IMHO, paint chipping, along with mud and pre/post shading, is way over done and often without regard to original sources.
