paint brush's give me a basic arsenal

lets say you have an airbrush for your big sections. you need detail work and everything in between. Im thinking 3 GOOD brushes or so; lets not concern ourself with cost, just want GOOD brushes.

I was thinking something very very thin for detail work. something medium for painting small engine parts. and something large for peices bigger than the medium brush; but not quite to airbrush like dashboards, seats, that sort of stuff.

my preference would be brushes able to be purchased at a hobbytown USA. what sizes should I get; what material should they be? is there a 4th size that would really help me for something im not thinking of? my brushes previous to this are about 2$ and always the same size. but the brush strokes are killing me.

ignore me; I started wandering after I posted; I found the painting with brushes article over in the story index. answered pretty much all I needed to know.
