Pacific Figures or Civilian figures

Ok Im making a model of the CAf’s Corsair and Avenger…I know I know I should pick a dirty plane, which i want too really bad, bt I thought id be cool to do one up in the CAF colors and detail exactly! I am looking for any civlian figures I could use to be the pilot of the corsair, if there is any. Oh and I have been trying to find a hair size wire fore my plumbing and electrical wiring for the cockpit area. Know where I can get my hands on em?? Thanx for the help guys!!

Bret

depends on what scale, but model railroading shops might have what your lookin for. As for hair fine wire try RCA cables or speaker wire.

hi again cf85

figures

you dont say which scale your in but Preiser make sitting and standing figures in oo/ho (1/72 1/76ish) 1/48 1/32 and 1/24 which you can convert to your needs. All these figures are based on model railway and they also make USAAF in 1/48. Maybe a military head for the flying helmet on a civilian body.

fine wire

try household fuse wire if its available in the States or have a look round your local electrical component dealer (is radioshack still going?) as they have all kinds of cable. Must it be wire? as stretched srue is easy and free.

Ok yeah I tried the sprue, its ticking me off and curles on me. dang sprue [soapbox]!! As for the scale [oops] sry haha its a 1/32 scale Corsair and I doubt there is one, im probly gonna have to make it myself from clay. But just seeing if anyone knew of any. thanx for the help guys!

I forget who made it, but I have a 1/32 /1/35 WW II Navy pilot that is standing and buckling his harness. It is pewter. I’m at the library, so I can’t check at the moment, but I got it from Squadron.
