Hi,
Through my research on the subject of a 1/48 scale model of the great aircraft “Curtiss P-6E Hawk”, I’ve come to the conclusion that the best kit for this project is from “Classic Airframes”. The problem that I am having is trying to locate one of these kits. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Tom
Hannants (www.hannants.co.uk) have them in stock, catalogue number CF444
The Classic Air Frames kit was a limited run issued a few years ago. I think at least 2 versions were released. It is a fairly good kit and with some effort can be built into a very nice model. Biggest problem are the upper wing support struts which are incorrect in length. I assume you tried popular web stores such as Great Models & Squadron. Theres always eBay as a last resort.
