hi eveyone, this is my first post in this forum, and this is my last build, just finished yesterday, hope you like it, in my oppinion it turned out ok

Love the subtle shading and tonal variations in the finish- that must have taken some time to mask and paint. Weathering is right-on and everything just looks fantastic.
How long did you spend working on this? (it was well worth it)
i agree. the panels lines are not overdone. the cockpit looks great and the canopy painting is sharp. so many times a photo will pick outt canopy issues but none that i see.
i don’t do many planes (will be starting a 1/48 A-26 fire bomber) and this is not a criticism but an honest question. the main wheels are flattened a bit as they have the weight of the plane but the nose wheel is not. is that because the nose wheel doesn’t really have that much weight on it? hey all 3 are touching the ground which is an achievement and i do 8x8 wheeled vehicles.

thanks for you words, it took me 5 months to finish this bird, and i used 4 tones of black on it, the weathering was done with the airbrush and the paneling with light gray,
Waynec, yes the nose wheel tire never is flatened because the nose weight is light, normally they flatened when you step on the brakes and aply full throtle on the engine, then you will have a flatened nose tire.

thanks for your kind words about my build, the only issue in the build is the cockpit window fitting in the front section, you need some putty to level the window with the fuselage to make it look ok, and the other thing, dont follow the instructions order it will make it difficult to build it, just use common sence and will be a nice kit to build

Wow, oppenheimer, that’s a nice widow! It’s fine work like yours that makes me realize how far I’ve got to go before I’m creating some real works of art.
I love the variations in panel color. I think that is what really makes this aircraft.
Certainly the nicest Widow I’ve seen. Its hard to pull off a convincing black finish and you nailed it. The exhaust stains look great too. Reference the canopy, I had this same problem with the 40 year old Monogram kit I built a few years ago. You would think that a company charging $100.00 for a kit would get this right. Anyways, thanks for sharing.
