i have a Hasegawa kit of a NMF p-51D and it comes with resin ram fet and a separate instruction sheet for that part as well as a different set of decal,but the kit was borrowed from another version,there are no decals for another version,my question is did this plane ever really exist,even as a concept or is this just something that they thought was a good idea to market?

Apparently it was done in 1946 using Marquardt ramjet engines. Typing the terms ramjet, P-51, and Marquardt into Yahoo or Google will give you links to parts of the rest of the story.
hhmmmm.,very interesting,the numbers on that plane in the link just happen to match those of the model i have
