What color is the back deck of the P-51 behind the radios? Also was wondering where the fuel lines for the tear shaped drop tanks are located and if they are easily visible. Also what about the door actuators for the main gear doors? Thanks for any help.[:)]
If you look at the D shaped doors, about halfway down the straight bit at the rear is the attachment point for the piston end of the actuator. The body of the actuator attaches to the rear bulkhead. Pretty much in a vertical plane.
Going by the 1/24 Airfix kit, the droptank fuel lines are on the top of the droptank, about on the centerline, just aft of the filler cap. The line seems to go aft, towards the rear tank mounting point.
