I must agree with everyone here! I think the weathering job you did looks great! That Mustang served in the the CBI theater and their bases/facilities were rough, tough and in the mud. Very harsh conditions to say the least. I think the 'Stang you did looks great. I built a similar subject and I like yours a lot better. Keep it up!
You did a great job mate…[8D]
I like the extent of wheathering you did…I built that kit myself, but left it a little less dirty. I must say, I think I like yours better. Well done!
That’s the Academy kit all right, and in case anyone is wondering it’s a sweet little kit. It goes together nicely and has a nice amount of detail and scheme options.
Thanks to you all my friends for yor very kind words.
Yes it is the academy kit and as Big Ton said it´s a very nice kit, eve the decals that sometimes are not that great in academy, this time went very well.
I used an airbrush to paint it (IWATA eclipse), but unfortunately did’nt use nothing for machine guns, Johan .
I’m now working on a spitfire mk.i 1/72 from tamiya, í’m going to try painting the camo freehand, probably will blow it but just feel the need to experiment it.
Looks great. Try not to be so hard on yourself as far as projects go. I have the view that so long as I learn something new each time regardless of how it turns out the build is a success. I also have a tendency to be my own worst critic as well. But hey great job. Keep us posted on the Spit and how it turns out.
Thanks a lot to all of you for your kind words.
About the spit, it´s going ok i guess maybe a litle too slow but
there is no dead line on it . I wish i could finish it soon and post some pics here.
Once again thanks for your comments, they make me want to build more and more…
