P 51b raf mustang lll navigation lights

I’m not sure but …about the navigation lights on the p-51b mustang lll. …somewhere I read that on the 1/32scale trumpeter kit that thay got it wrong. .now I was wondering if it’s the left wing or the right wing . Any suggestions to that be true …any thoughts. .thanks …peter …ps I have all the squadron mustang book but no picks to the location of the navigation light …help

Are thay on the same side as the D version. .??

I am not sure if I understan you correctly, do you need to know what wong the bottom 3 ligths were? If so on my 1/32 Tamiya P-51 d they are on the bottom of the right hand wing

Thanks for the reply theuns . no the navigation lights are wrong on the trump kit . I got the answer from another forum .there right for p51D but wrong on the p 51b. …ugh!!..more sergury. .oh well …thanks again theuns .

-B/C mustangs had Nav lights near the ends of the wings both above and below, while the -D models had them at the very edges of the wings only.

The formation lights on the -B/C was on the right lower wing, inboard of the Nav light. The -D had them on the right also, but moved further outboard, yet still under the wing.
