Sooooooo if there is anyone out there that would have more pics of what I am looking for PLEASE… let me know.

Here are the photos I have… just 4 of them [BH]

I HOPE someone out there can help me here.

Thank all and have a GREAT day

Bud

Antoni, WOW there GREAT !

Where did you fond them ?

Thank You

Bud

Hey Bud,

Great scheme you have there… If I am not mistaken, you can find those pix in either the P-51 Detail & Scale, or one of the Mustang In Action books/walk arounds…

Good hunting and I am looking forward to the build…

Flaps up, Mike

Thanks Mike. OK so if anyone has that book please post the pics for me, and if anyone knows where I can get the decals let me know.

Thanks again all

Bud

Here’s a link to one built up over on hyperscale. Flightline did decals for this A/C but I believe they are out of production.

Hey Bud, I’ve checkeed all my sources & haven’t found much on this but, looks like you have found enough here to mask it & paint it yourself[:-,][(-D] Not like you have other “pressing” matters to attend to like the rest of us[:-^]

Ha!

I saw this scheme in decals yesterday!

But… I was looking at http://www.eaglestrikeproductions.com/ & www.hannants.co.uk

and… do you think i can find it today?

go figure…

Jon

WOW ! You guys are the BEST…

I looked and looked and looked and could not find anything and with in 1 day I got what I needed.

Thanks all, Thanks a LOT !

Have a GREAT day

Bud

I have built this scheme and I did it before any decal sets were available. I found pictures of both sides of the fuselage and the belly, enlarged to the size I needed and cut individual pieces of black decals to make the pattern and placed over a white background. Flightline decals produced a set, #8001 but I think they are out of business. Race plane decals came out with a set using the old decals but the only place I see the business listed is on Ebay. You may be able to contact them and see if they still make them. I still think the way I did it, although tedious, produces a better looking product in the end. Plus I believe the Race plane decals are printed on a solid decal sheet so you would have to cut them out anyways. I have the line drawings I used and could send you a copy if you want to go the cutting them out yourself route.

Thanks Eagle334 PM incomming

Bud

P.S. Great job on that build [tup] Hope mine comes out as good.

That makes my eyes hurt…

Bud, if you could pull that off, you’d be the OFFICIAL P-51A Master. I recommend frisket film for masking…

I am in no way a Master, but I am trying [:-^]

And again, Thanks all

Bud

What is " frisket film " for masking

Bud

It’s like a 8.5x11 sticker. You can pick it up at any craft store. You just cut shapes out, peel the back off, and place it on the model. Then you can paint and peel the mask off. Play with it a few times first to get the hang of it. I think I got 10 or 12 sheets with mine. Looks like your project will only need 1[:)]

Cool thanks guys

Bud

I already “pulled that off”, does that make me a P-51A Master? [:)][?][;)]
