I have a question about a red square on one of the wings of a p-47. If you are sitting in the plane, the wing on your left is there supposed to be a red square right at the edge of the wing like there is on the right wing? Here is a picture of what I am talking about if it works.
Alright, I can take this one. The red square is on the base of the flaps on both sides. At the very end of the square it says “NO STEP” in black letters.
Thanks alot. The only pictures I could get were for that side and I wasnt sure if it was on the other side as well.
The red “No Step” warning was normally on both sides. I’ve seen some war time pics where it was not, probably due to field repair & re-painting.
